The new Opel Insignia OPC

With the power of 239 kW/325 hp and a maximum torque of 435 Nm Insignia OPC stands out peak performance of all Opel models. This vehicle wallpaper wheel drive will make its debut at the International Motor Show IAA in Frankfurt (September 12-22) in a new, refreshed installment with a modified chassis.

Precision parts - inside and outside the
new Opel Insignia OPC impresses from the first sight. The revised design of the typical OPC elements such as the distinctive pattern of tiger tooth-shaped front and finish tailpipes integrated into the rear underlines the power of the vehicle and is reminiscent of breathtaking races at the Nürburgring.

Striking exterior is equipped with the latest technological developments. Also improved chassis, especially the rear axle (as in other models of Opel Insignia), in which engineers have changed about 60% of all components. It also significantly improved rates of noise and vibration due to precise tuning. New electronic stability program provides even greater dynamics, especially in response to understeer. The revised program damping FlexRide adaptive chassis with adjustable shock absorbers ensures optimal traction. This characteristic of the OPC system enhances driving dynamics, enabling faster and more precise response to various maneuvers and road conditions.

With a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive Insignia OPC reaches a top speed of 100 km / h in 6 seconds (Sports Tourer: 6.3 seconds) and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h (electronically limited). Insignia OPC with a manual transmission without limit speed can accelerate up to 270 km / h (Sports Tourer: 265 km / h). With such a high-performance Brembo brake system provides a rapid reduction in speed and maximum stability, even during intensive use of the vehicle.

Another advantage of the Insignia OPC is an electronically controlled drive 4 × 4 The system includes high-quality electronic Haldex coupling mechanism and limited slip differential which ensures optimal traction. This allows the vehicle at all times be adjusted to conditions on the road and, if necessary smoothly - from 0 to 100% - distributes torque between the front and rear axles and between the rear wheels. With electronically controlled chassis equipped with FlexRide Premium all-wheel drive set the standard for responsiveness and control of the vehicle. Sporty design also inside the vehicle cabin there is a strikingly sporty atmosphere. Recaro sports seats, optionally also available in leather with memory function settings, gear lever knob in OPC design and a completely new dashboard and center console - the premium items. In addition to basic information, the driver has instant access to data such as pressure, oil temperature, battery voltage, throttle position, brake power and the force of gravity at the lateral acceleration. And all this with the optional 8-inch display.

The new sports steering wheel (optionally available as heated) in a model with automatic transmission is equipped with jacks shift. This enables the driver to manually change very quickly run even in automatic mode. If the jacks are not used for at least 12 seconds, the car continues to drive in automatic mode. In this way, the Insignia OPC conveniently combines the advantages of manual and automatic transmission.
